School of Marxism at Peking University is the first institute alike established in China in early 1992, the recent years have also witnessed a rapid development of this School. A number of striking projects has highlighted the progress and escalation of Marxism. Such as, World Congress on Marxism, the compilation and studies of “Ma-Zang” (Vast Collection of Marxism), the construction of the “Karl Marx Building” and of the “International Centre for Marxist Literature”,etc.

Undertaking the long tradition of studying Marxism and new mission of glorifying Marxism in China, We are destined to build an academic centre, talent highland and communication hub of Marxism in the world. Hence we sincerely invite outstanding talents from all over the world to join our team.

1. Distinguished Chair Professor

Qualification Description:

Distinguished achievements in the teaching and research of Marxism;

Remarkable attainments and profound influence;

Outstanding exploration directions in related field

Age requirements: around 60 years old

2. Academic Elite

Qualification Description:

Top level in the teaching and research of Marxism;

Recognized achievement and solid grounding;

Team leader in theoretical frontiers

Age requirements: around 55 years old

3. Outstanding Young Talent

Qualification Description:

clear exploration direction and significant influence;

Solid grounding of Marxism and promising potential;

 Age requirements: 40 years or so

4. PhD Graduate or Postdoctoral Fellow

Qualification Description:

Strong aspiration and good potential with solid grounding of Marxism;

Prominent performance in Marxism studies

Age requirements: no older than 35

5. Excellent Lecturer in Marxism

Qualification Description:

Display innovative concept and method of ideological and political theory teaching;

Great influence in teaching ability;

Award-winner of “National Top Quality Course”, “Excellent Teaching Team”, etc.

II. Academic Disciplines

The applicant is expected to be engaged in the teaching and research of the primary discipline “Theory of Marxism” or related areas, including the secondary disciplines “Basic Principles of Marxism”, “Development History of Marxism”, “Studies of Marxism Sinicization”, “Studies of Foreign Marxism”, “Ideological and Political Education”, “Studies of Basic Problems in Modern Chinese History”, “Studies of the Party’s Construction”, or the related secondary disciplines “Philosophy of Marxism”, “Political Economics”, “Scientific Socialism and International Communist Movements”.

2. Relevant materials to show the applicant’s level of teaching and research, including published books, representative papers, funded projects, awards and etc.
